Kia Sonet facelift to get safer!
Kia has laid a good groundwork for its upcoming cars in India. It has a well-laid-out plan for its future products. The brand’s next product is going to be the Sonet facelift. Kia is going to refresh the design and also could add a lot of new things to the facelift. To that effect, it could come with a segment-first safety feature. Can you guess it? ADAS
Kia has started testing the Sonet facelift in India. Now according to media sources, the Sonet could come with ADAS in the facelift. The compact SUV could borrow some ADAS features from the Seltos facelift. It could get 8 to 9 features compared to the 17 ADAS features offered on the Seltos facelift. If Kia times it properly the Sonet facelift could be the first car in its segment to get ADAS. We said times it properly, as Tata Nexon facelift and XUV300 are also rumoured to get ADAS.
Other expected changes
The Kia Sonet facelift has been spotted a few times. In the facelift, we could see a new front design and also vertical tail lamps like the Seltos facelift. What about the interior? The interior could get a slightly tweaked dashboard design. Kia could add some features missing from the current model like a cooled glove box, heads-up display, 360-degree camera, electric driver seat etc.
Kia Sonet ADAS – Launch timeline
After the launch of the Seltos facelift, Kia has shifted its focus to the Sonet facelift. According to reports, Kia plans to unveil the car by the end of 2023. India launch could also happen in a similar time frame. Pricing-wise, we can expect a price hike of Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000, depending upon the variants.
