Kia Carens facelift – When is it coming?

With the Carens, Kia showcased that it can thrive in some of the most competitive segments in the country. The Carens went up against heavyweights like the Maruti Ertiga and XL6. It is doing well, but some people are asking about its facelift. It sure is a bit early for getting the facelift. So when is it coming? In today’s article, let’s talk about the Kia Carens facelift. 

When is it coming?

Jumping straight into the topic, some reports are claiming that Kia could update the Carens in September. However, it seems too early for a facelift. The Carens is just 1.5 years old in the market having been launched in February 2022. So if Kia is bringing an update then it could be a minor one, and the proper facelift can only be expected next year. Also, before the Carens, the Sonet should get its facelift. 

What could change?

We will have the usual bits expected in the facelift like an updated design with new bumpers, headlamps etc. In the interiors, we don’t expect much tweaking. Feature-wise, we could see a 360-degree camera, electrically adjustable driver seat, electronic parking brake and heads-up display. Another thing we could see is ADAS like the Seltos facelift.

Kia Carens facelift – Specifications

Being a facelift, the Carens should continue with the same engine options.  The Carens already comes with the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol that is capable of producing 158bhp and 253Nm of torque. Other engine options will include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (113bhp/144Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (114bhp/250Nm). All engine options come with a plethora of manual, semi-automatic and automatic options.
