2023 Kia Seltos facelift unveiled! Badass reborn?

The Seltos facelift has been one of the most highly anticipated cars in the country. Since its launch in 2019, the car has been selling like hotcakes. Even now, the car doesn’t feel outdated, but change is the only constant in a market like India. Last year, Kia unveiled the Seltos facelift in South Korea, and now it has finally launched the car in India. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift.  

Booking and Launch

Kia will open the bookings for the Seltos facelift on the 14th of July. The Seltos facelift will be available in three trim options – X-Line, GT Line and also Tech Line. Colour options include 8 monotone colours, 2 dual tones and one Matte graphite. Kia has also launched the K-Code which will send a code to existing customers that can be used by their friends and family to get property deliveries. This will be available on 14th July from 12 am to 11:59 am.

2023 Kia Seltos new – Design

Kia has updated the exterior design of the Seltos facelift. Now we have a new grille at the front that is cut into two parts by the new DRL design. The DRL design continues over the LED headlamps ending on the turn indicators. Then below it, we have LED fog lamps. The side profile is more or less similar to the outgoing model barring the new alloy wheel design. At the rear, we have new tail lamps that come with an inverted L-shaped with a connecting strip in the middle. Overall the Seltos now look even more aggressive and modern. 

Specifications

The Kia Seltos facelift continues with its two engine options – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (113bhp/144NM) & a 1.5-litre diesel (113bhp/250Nm). Transmission options include a plethora of options from manual to AT. The new addition to the Seltos facelift is the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that debuted on the Carens. This engine is capable of producing 158bhp and 253Nm of torque. Transmission options include a manual and a DCT gearbox. 

2023 Kia Seltos new – Features

The Kia Seltos upped the features game with its launch in 2019. Fast forward now, and the Seltos has once again set a new benchmark for other manufacturers to catch up with. In its facelift, it comes with a  panoramic sunroof, a new digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, and sequential turn indicators. Kia has also added Level-2 ADAS on the Seltos facelift, adding an extra layer of security. Other safety features include 6-airbags, hill start assist, VSC, ESP etc.
