Mahindra XUV300 facelift to get this segment-first feature!
Mahindra is modernising its entire SUV lineup. We have already seen it with the XUV700 and Scorpio-N. Now the brand is looking to bring its other SUVs to the same level. The first SUV to get this treatment is the XUV300. Mahindra has commenced testing of the facelift. We have covered the car in spy shots, you can check it here. Now according to a report, the XUV300 could come with ADAS, which will be a segment-first feature. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Mahindra XUV300 ADAS update.
ADAS
Rajesh Jejurikar, executive director and CEO of Mahindra Automotive stated that ADAS technology is super relevant and important in India. He also stated the brand plans to incorporate ADAS across its product lineup. The Scorpio-N and its upcoming pickup should get it first, followed by the XUV400 and XUV300. So if that is the case, we can expect Mahindra to introduce ADAS on the facelift model. However, XUV300 is not the only C-SUV rumoured to get ADAS. There are rumours that we could see it on the upcoming Tata Nexon facelift and Kia Sonet facelift.
Other new things
The XUV300 is going to get a major upgrade on the exterior & interior. In the spy shots, we have seen a new front design with a new grille and headlamps. Other changes include new alloys and tail lamps. In the interiors, Mahindra has its work cut out. It will need to update the dashboard layout and probably give it a floating infotainment system. Other features that Mahindra could add include a digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting and a premium sound system.
Mahindra XUV300 ADAS – Launch timeline
Mahindra seems to have fast-tracked the development of the XUV300. The car has been spotted testing several times in the last few months. These are positive signs that the launch could happen in the first half of 2024. What about the pricing? The XUV300 facelift could get a price hike of Rs 70k to 80k depending upon the variants.
