Tata Nexon launch timeline revealed! Coming soon?

The Nexon facelift is one of the most anticipated new car launches in the country. Currently, Tata is selling a good number of Nexon. However, nevertheless, Tata is working on the facelifted model. We have been covering the facelift in detail, but, now new spy shots give us hints about the launch timeline. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new Tata Nexon launch.

The spy shots were sent to us by Nipun_iam. In this, we can see a heavily camouflaged car with an emission testing kit. From the tail lamp design we can figure out this is the Nexon facelift. Mostly emission testing is done last by manufacturers in a product development cycle. If Tata is conducting emission tests on the Nexon facelift, then it means that the launch is just around the corner. In other spy shots, we can see the interior layout with the two-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, 10-inch infotainment system and paddle shifters. 

Specifications

Most probably the Nexon facelift will continue with the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine is capable of producing 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. While the 1.5-litre diesel is capable of producing 113bhp and 260Nm of torque. Both these engines come with a manual and an AMT gearbox option. There is an outside chance that we could see a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine capable of producing 123bhp and 225Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a manual and a new DCA gearbox.

These new spy shots hint to us that the facelift launch is just around the corner. According to earlier reports, Tata plans to launch the facelift by August or September this year. These new spy shots seem to confirm this possibility. What about the price? We can expect a major price hike with the new design and added features.
