Tata Nexon facelift – should it get this thing?

The Tata Nexon has been hogging all the headlines in the last few years. Tata has been testing the facelift, and every other day, we get some new details about the car. So Tata is giving the Nexon everything, but what about a fuel-efficient option? Yes, its petrol and diesel options are fuel efficient, but what if you want more? Like, say, a CNG setup. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Tata Nexon facelift CNG. 

CNG

Recently Tata stated that it plans to introduce CNG in segments where diesel is exiting. Currently, the Nexon comes with diesel, but this engine barely passed the emission norms. Tata doesn’t expect this engine to last more and is already planning what to do once it is gone. Tata’s twin-cylinder technology could be ideal for the Nexon.  

Changes

The Nexon facelift is coming with a plethora of design changes. It is going to come with a sharp design similar to the Curvv. The rear could also get a connected tail lamp design. The CNG model will continue with this same silhouette barring the i-CNG badging. We can expect features like 10-inch infotainment, digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera etc. Considering Tata offers CNG across all its variants, we expect all these features on the CNG variants too. 

Tata Nexon facelift CNG – Launch timeline

The Tata Nexon facelift is just around the corner, considering the number of times it has been spotted testing in recent times. What about the CNG? CNG could either be launched at the launch or after a few months after the facelift. We think it could be launched a few months after the facelift. What about the pricing? It could be priced Rs 70k to 80k more than the similarly specced ICE variants.
