Tata is working on several new models for the Indian market. Some of them are facelifts for popular models like Nexon, Harrier/Safari etc. At the same time, there are also several new models like the Curvv, Harrier EV etc. We have been covering the Currv extensively since the Auto Expo 2023. Now in a new development, the test mules of Curvv have been spotted testing in the country. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Tata Curvv 2023.

Spy shots

Curvv 2023

The spy shots were posted on TeamBHP. The test mule has a front design similar to the Nexon facelift Tata is currently testing out. We have a sharp front design with eyebrow DRLs hidden under the camouflage. However, once you come to the sides, you can see the tapering C-pillar that Tata has tried to hide. Overall the car looks quite proportional. At the rear, we could see a connected tail lamp design.

Specifications

Tata is yet to reveal the EV or ICE specifications of the Curvv. The EV version should ideally have a claimed range of 450 or 500km. What about the ICE variants? We could see the 1.2-litre TGDi engine is capable of producing 123bhp and 225Nm of torque. Higher variants could get a 1.5-litre TGDi engine capable of producing 167bhp and 280Nm of torque. Diesel duties could be handled by the 1.5-litre unit that will be retuned for the Curvv.

Curvv 2023 – Launch timeline

Curvv 2023

Tata has stated that it plans to launch the Curvv EV sometime in 2024. The test mule indicates that Tata is on track to launch the Curvv in 2024. The petrol and diesel versions could be launched a few months after the EV version. There are even talks of Curvv getting a CNG option, which could be launched with the ICE engines. Pricing-wise, the Curvv EV variants could start from Rs 18 lakhs and ICE variants could start from Rs 13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
