Tata is working on a sleeve of new products for the Indian market. Some of them are facelifts, while others are proper new cars. One such new car is the Curvv. Tata has showcased the Curvv EV/ICE on several occasions. Mostly it was assumed that the production version would also be called Curvv. However, now Tata has trademarked a new name. This could be given to the production version of the Curvv. So what’s the name? In today’s article, let’s talk about Tata Frest.

As stated above, Tata showcased the ICE-Curvv at the Auto Expo of 2023. Tata calls the concept Curvv, and its production model could be named something else. Now Tata has trademarked the Frest name. So could the Curvv concept be called Frest? Only time will tell. Just bear in mind, brands regularly trademark names and this could be something else altogether.

Specifications

Tata is yet to reveal the EV or ICE specifications of the Curvv/Frest. The EV version should ideally have a claimed range of 450 or 500km. What about the ICE variants? We could see the 1.2-litre TGDi engine is capable of producing 123bhp and 225Nm of torque. Higher variants could get a 1.5-litre TGDi engine capable of producing 167bhp and 280Nm of torque.
