Mahindra XUV400 gets new features!
Mahindra started its re-entry into the EV segment with the XUV400. The XUV400 is an important product in the sense that it wants to establish a good foundation for its upcoming EVs. Mahindra took a leaf out of Tata’s book by electrifying the XUV300 as XUV400. Unlike Tata, it also made it bigger and also added segment best specifications. Still, somewhere the XUV400 lacked features compared to the competition, mainly the Nexon EV. So now, after careful revaluation, Mahindra seems to have added some new features to the XUV400. Mahindra XUV400 features
Mahindra has added features like an electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, auto-dimming IRVM, TPMS, front fog lamps & boot lamps, cruise control and two tweeters. The XUV300 is getting a facelift, and we can expect some more features on the XUV400 in the future.
Specifications
The XUV400 comes with a 39.4kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 456km. This battery pack comes with IP67 certification (dust and waterproof). What about the motor and battery? The XUV400 comes with a 148bhp PSM motor and a torque of 310Nm. Mahindra claims that the XUV400 can do the 0 to 100kmph sprint in just 8.3 seconds, making it the fastest electric SUV in its segment. With a fast charger, the XUV400 can go from 0% to 80% in 50 mins.
Sales & pricing
The Mahindra XUV400 is recording decent enough sales in the country. In Q2 2023, Mahindra sold 2,234 units of the XUV400. To see how other EVs performed in Q2 2023. Coming to the pricing, the Mahindra XUV 400 range starts from Rs 17.03 lakh and goes to Rs 20.21 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
