Conflict Resolution

With Indian and Chinese troops clashing in Galwan Valley and Pangong Lake last year, the Indian government had decided to deal with the matter strategically. The Indian government decided to ban multiple Chinese apps and put a hold on multiple FDIs (foreign direct investment) from China which resulted in many famous apps like TikTok and PUBG departing from India.

But, with the Chinese troops now leaving the conflicted areas, and India and China engaging in talks for the second phase of disengagement of troops from the LAC, the Central and State governments have started planning towards clearing the pending proposals.

GWM had already signed a deal with GM to take over their Talegaon plant in Maharashtra back in January 2020. However, the India-China clashes resulted in the Maharashtra government blocking the exit of GM, directly affecting GWM’s entry. With the latest talks, GWM is expected to make its debut in the country in the coming time.
