Now as the Jimny is an offroad would also feature a switchable ABS as well as the traction control. It would get hill descent control, as well as the all grip system, would add in the safety aspect off-road.

Being a 4 seater it might also get 3 point seatbelts at all points which would improve the safety rating. Also to ease of driving in India in congested spaces the Jimny should get rear parking sensors. It should also get a camera but as the Mahindra Thar has done away with it we think that the Maruti Suzuki Jimny might also do away with it.

Launch of Jimny

The launch of Jimny is expected in 2021. The SUV was shown at the Auto Expo 2020 and not launching it in 2021 might not be a very good idea for Maruti. Apart from that Maruti has been spotted working on a diesel engine. If the Upcoming Maruti Jimny has to compete with the Mahindra Thar and the Upcoming Gurkha then it should have a good diesel engine. Also the pricing is a key area where Maruti might do wonders with the Jimny in this lifestyle jeep segment.
