Maruti Suzuki has been the automotive giant in India. This is because of its low-cost proposition in the market. The lower segment of the market which has a lot of volumes is where most of Maruti Suzuki products are placed. Suzuki International has these products for other markets in Europe but they are sold with better there. Here are 5 such Cars which lack in specifications only because they are sold in India.

Suzuki International Ignis

The Ignis sold internationally comes with a 4 wheel drive system. Also, it comes with a 1.2 Dual get engine and the SHVS technology. Now that’s some power and specs that we expect on a micro SUV.

Ignis Orange

Giving the Maruti Suzuki Ignis the 4WD system would mean making the car expensive. It will not only drive a lot of customers away but also put the car in competition with some bigger SUVs. Even if Maruti offers one such variant then too it would mean adding new components to the assembly line for a product that won’t bring corresponding sales.

Ignis

Safety is also better on the Suzuki Ignis as it gets Dual Camera Brake system. This is like a safety braking mechanism as the car warns and assists braking for you if it sees something in front of it. This feature is not expected from Maruti on a car that sits at this price. Suzuki International should really try to slowly introduce at least these safety measures in some of the high-end cars in their Maruti Suzuki lineup.

Suzuki Celerio

The Celerio sold in the international market is so much safer than the version we get. It also gets a Dual Jet VVT 1.0-litre engine. This engine churns out more torque. Suzuki international also offers hill hold and Electronic stability on the Suzuki Celerio.

Celerio Grey

Some of these features like the ESP can not be seen even on the flagship Maruti Suzuki Cars.

Suzuki Vitara (Brezza)

Vitara A

The newly launched Maruti Suzuki Brezza lacks so much if we compare the international model. The Suzuki International offers 2 engine option on the Vitara. 1.0-Boosterjet and 1.4-litre Boosterjet. Even though the Indian car comes with a 1.5-litre engine the state of tune of those engines is much higher thereby enabling them to produce more power.

Vitara A 2

In terms of design, the Suzuki Vitara looks way better than the Brezza and has bold SUV looks along with sleek modern touches. Also now Toyota has launched the Urban Cruiser which is just a cosmetic change to the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

Swift Sport

Swift Sport2

We all know about the Swift Sport and is it one hot hatch that we all want Suzuki International to bring to India. The Swift itself is a very great product in India. Due to its value to money proposition and the improvements in its Gen3 it has won the heart of people.

Swift Sport

The Suzuki Swift Sport takes it further. It comes with K14C engine which a booster jet 1.4-litre engine. This makes 138bhp with the lightweight body of the regular swift. The power to weight ration of this car can decimate everything in that price bracket.

S-Cross International

The SX4 S-Cross is the actual name of the international version of S-Cross. For India, Maruti has not only shut down the diesel which was the USP of the car. It also gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine now.

Scross Blue

Suzuki International sell this car with 3 engine options. 1.0-litre and 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine for petrol. Also, it gets the 1.6-litre diesel engine which we expect to come to India in 2021. Lastly, it does not get AWD for India which we might not even see in the future.

Scross

All in all the products that we get as Maruti Suzuki are just cars which are made for the masses. The better engine and the cars that will appeal to enthusiasts are reserved for the markets which are ready to pay more.
