We had revealed almost 2 years back that the Hyundai Santro 2018 will see a launch last year when Hyundai was celebrating 20 years of presence in India as Santro was the car that was launched first by the Korean company.  The Hyundai Santro 2019 gets a variant reshuffle over last years model. Hyundai Santro 2019 Price in India

Now there is Hyundai has declared that prices of all car by Rs. 9200. Currently, the company offers 10 models across segments, including Santro, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Elantra, Venue, Creta and Tucson. The price of the 2019 model prices will be between Rs 4.15 lakhs to Rs 6.29 lakhs (ex-showroom). This will be effective from 1st August 2019.

The new Era executive variant replaces the D-lite and Era variant. In addition to this, the higher variants also get a few features which have become mandatory under safety norms that have come into action from 1st July 2019. Now, it’s rivals, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the Tata Tiago are priced from Rs 4.31 lakh and Rs 4.4 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). AMT-equipped Santro’s are expected to cost Rs 30,000 more than their manual counterparts.

The range-topping trim of the Santro will have a price tag of over ₹6 lakhs on-road. But the downside and sad part are that Hyundai has confirmed that the top-end model won’t be getting an AMT gearbox even this year.

The Hyundai Santro has been tested by Global NCAP. This vehicle is at the bottom of Hyundai’s lineup in India. This vehicle has scored not so good in this test. Overall the vehicle has scored 6.74 out of 17 in the test. The car has minimal protection for the driver and the front passenger. For a three-year-old occupant, the head and chest protection was poor, while for an 18-month-old child, head and chest protection was acceptable. As is the norm for Global NCAP, the test was conducted on the base-spec version of the Santro that is equipped with a driver’s side airbag, ABS with EBD and driver seatbelt reminder. Launched in 2018, the Hyundai Santro complies with India’s latest crash-test standards.

Hyundai Santro 2019 Anniversary Edition

After a year of the launch of Hyundai Santro in 2018, the company has decided to celebrate this success with a new Anniversary Edition. The hatchback has been performing well and has been a good comeback. This special edition model is based on the Sportz trim level. It is available with a manual and AMT gearbox. This has also gone through a variety of cosmetic changes. The engine and the mechanics remain the same.

The Anniversary Edition includes gloss black accent on the roof rails, ORVMs and door handles, while the wheel covers are finished in grey. The car gets cladding on the doors, a chrome strip on the base of the boot and anniversary Edition badging. The special edition is offered in 2 colours. One of the colour is  Polar White and Aqua Teal colours. These were offered on Grand i10 Nios.

The interiors of this special edition also get some minor tweaks. The Aqua Teal (blue) inserts are seen on the dashboard. This is also seen around the infotainment screen. The side AC vents and the gear stick surrounds also have these inserts. The design of the seat has also been updated. The price of the vehicle is Rs 5.17 lakh for the manual and Rs 5.75 lakh for the AMT version. This makes the special edition Rs 10,000 more expensive than the standard Sportz counterparts. In our market, the Hyundai Santro competes with the likes of the Tata Tiago, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and Celerio.

Hyundai Santro 2019 Mileage

The mileage figures for this car are out. Hyundai claims that the car in it’s manual and AMT format will return over 20.3km/l. This is highly impressive and the buyers in the segment will want these kinds of figures. Hyundai claims that the CNG variants going to return 30.8km/l.

These new dimensions make the Santro almost taller and certainly taller than the Maruti Celerio. This with the tall boy design will make the car look very distinct and brilliant.

The steering wheel is the same type found on the Grand i10 and Xcent. It also gets steering mounted controls for audio and telephone. The interior theme is dual-tone and is inspired by an elephant. The dual-tone colors are black and beige. The front seats have integrated head restraints.

The new Santro is a tall boy design. Hence, its interiors while being stylish, are more importantly spacious. The 2019 model has a good amount of space in both rows. It also has the best in class features. The Santro 2019 interiors include a touchscreen system, electrically adjustable mirrors, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and rear parking sensors. It does not have a push-button start option. Dual airbags and ABS are a standard feature in the hatchback. For the DLite base variant, only the driver gets an airbag.

We have information that Hyundai has been working on AMTs for some time now. It also has better performance and even better fuel efficiency. As of now, there is still no diesel version available. As it is this segment caters to more of petrol cars.

The Hyundai Santro 2019 continues getting AMT. This has been the first Hyundai to come with an AMT. The Hyundai Santro 2019 successfully replaces the current i10 and it will come with a 1.1-liter petrol engine.
