Hyundai Car Safety – 6 Hai Toh Safe Hai

Now before we talk about the possible Hyundai SUVs which will be tested at Bharat NCAP, let’s take a look at Hyundai’s safety campaign. As we all know, the Hyundai Verna facelift recently scored 5-star ratings at GNCAP. At the event, the brand talked about its focus on developing safer cars in India. Hyundai India took a bold step for safety and standardised features like – 6-Airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, and seat belt reminder for all seats. Other safety features like electronic stability control, hill start assist control, and tyre pressure monitoring are also available as standard on most cars, while few have them as optional on higher variants. Apart from that, most of the Hyundai cars now gets ADAS system, starting from the Hyundai Venue.

Hyundai Exter

Hyundai, like Maruti, does not have positive impressions when we talk about safety. At an event, Hyundai spoke a lot about safety and assured that safety has been a priority in the development of the new Exter. That said, the Exter could outperform other Hyundai models when it undergoes crash testing according to the BNCAP standards.

Hyundai Car Safety – Hyundai Creta Facelift

Now if the Exter has been developed with safety being priority, the Creta facelift has likely been reworked with better build quality. At the time of launch of the previous generation Creta, Hyundai showed the strength of the SUV by showcasing two African elephants on the Creta SUV. Unfortunately, the stronger version of the Creta did not make its way to India. The reason being, Hyundai Creta was crash tested at both ASEAN NCAP and Global NCAP. At the ASEAN NCAP, the SUV scored 5-star ratings but scored only 3-stars at the Global NCAP crash test facility. That said, Hyundai has added all the necessary safety features like ADAS and standard 6-Airbags. So with all the improvements we expect it to get 5-star ratings at Bharat NCAP.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift

Based on the Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Alcazar could be the next SUV to likely get crash tested at Bharat NCAP. Currently, the Hyundai Alcazar is in its pre-facelift avatar as the SUV will soon get a major overhaul. Along with the update, Hyundai will add all the missing safety features to the Alcazar, including the Level-2 ADAS system. That said, if the Creta facelift achieves 5-star ratings at the Bharat NCAP, expect similar results from the upcoming Hyundai 7-seater SUV as well.
