The Mahindra XUV300/XUV 3XO is the talk of the town. Mahindra is leaving no stone unturned in creating the hype for its newest SUV. The XUV300 could be joining the likes of Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet, which have recently got updates. This will make the Hyundai Venue the oldest car in this segment. Now the next logical upgrade for the Venue is a new-generation model. So let’s talk about this new Mahindra XUV 3XO rival.

New platform & design

New Hyundai Venue

The new Venue is still in the early stages of development. Being a new-gen model, we can expect the Venue to be based on the new platform. A new platform could help Hyundai solve the problem of space constraints. Additionally, Hyundai should also look to improve the safety of the Venue. Design-wise, we could see a Creta facelift-like design on the new-gen model.

New Hyundai Venue – Interior & features

New Hyundai Venue

Surprisingly, the Venue lacks a lot of features compared to the competition. Firstly, we could see a 10 or 12-inch infotainment system, 360-degree camera, heads-up display, ventilated seats, etc. Could Hyundai also offer a panoramic sunroof here? Only time will tell. The current model does come with an ADAS, but in the new-gen model, we could see a radar-based system.

Specifications

Generally, new-gen models mean new engine options. But we think it’s highly unlikely in the new Venue. Currently, the Venue comes with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission options range from MT, iMT, CVT and DCT on the various engines. With such a plethora of options, it is hard to think what else Hyundai could do. At max, maybe it could tinker with the power and torque figures of these engine options.

New Hyundai Venue – Launch & pricing

New Hyundai Venue

The Venue will be completing three years in its facelift avatar in 2025. So, it makes sense that the new-gen Venue could come sometime in 2025. According to reports, Venue will be the first Hyundai car to roll out from the newly acquired Talegaon plant. It’s too early to talk about the price hike, but we can expect a hike in the range of 80k to 1-lakh as it’s a new-gen model.
