Mileage figures

New Swift mileage

The new Swift is powered by a new 1.2-litre K12 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 100bhp and 150Nm of torque. This new engine comes in hybrid and non-hybrid options with only a CVT gearbox. Mileage-wise, the non-hybrid has a claimed mileage of 23.4 kmpl, and the hybrid has a claimed mileage of 24.5 kmpl. Earlier, the new Swift was rumoured to get a claimed mileage over 35kmpl, so these figures are a bit disappointing. Let’s see, if Maruti bumps them when the Swift comes to India. If we compare the mileage to the current Swift, the increase is marginal. The current Swift has a claimed mileage of 22.38 kmpl (MT) and 22.56 kmpl (AMT).
