This manufacturer could make a comeback in India!
The Indian car market is a tough nut to crack for a lot of foreign manufacturers. This is the reason why we have seen so many manufacturers exiting the market. One such manufacturer is Fiat which exited the market in 2019. However, now there are rumours that Fiat could be relaunched in India. In today’s article, let’s talk about Fiat India 2023.
Fiat India
According to a media report, Stellantis is looking to relaunch the Fiat brand in India. For reference, Stellantis is also the parent company of Jeep and Citroen which operate in India. According to Billy Hayes, Senior Vice President of Stellantis, the company is re-evaluating the Fiat brand. He stated that nothing is concrete yet, but there have been some discussions. Along with the Fiat brand, Stellantis is also re-evaluating bringing other brands, including Alfa Romeo to the country.
Citroen & Jeep
Billy Hayes stated that Jeep and Citroen will remain the primary focus of the company. Citroen is already working on several new models like the C3 Aircross, its EV version and also C3X, a crossover sedan. The same cannot be said of Jeep, which doesn’t have new products in the pipeline. Hopefully, Jeep & Citroen, find some good footing, as that would only lead to the re-launch of Fiat in India.
Stellantis
The Stellantis group has a lot of brands under its umbrella. The alliance is a 50-50 cross-border merger between the Italian-American conglomerate Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and the French PSA Group. Some of the popular brands it owns are Chrysler, Dodge, Maserati, Ram, and Opel.
