Royal Enfield electric bike launch timeline revealed!
Royal Enfield enjoys a cult following in the country. Almost every one of us has imagined riding a Royal Enfield bike in the Himalayas. Another thing associated with Royal Enfield is the thump. So it will be quite unusual to see a RE bike with a motor sound. Yes, you heard it right motor noise. Royal Enfield has confirmed the launch timeline of its electric bike. Royal Enfield is working on an electric bike for the Indian market. It is already testing out the prototype model. This information was conveyed by Siddhartha Lal, managing director & CEO, of Eicher Motors. According to him, the brand has also put a team to figure out the commercial side. Tentatively, the brand plans to launch this product in the next two years. Royal Enfield has lined up a capex of Rs 1,000 crore for FY 2023-2024, the majority of this investment is toward electric products.

The company has already hired 100 people for its electric vehicle space. It is the process of setting up a new production line for EVs. In the beginning, this production line will be able to produce 1.5 lakh units in a year.
Upcoming Royal Enfield bikes
A lot of new competition has popped up to rival the Royal Enfield in the last few months. We have the Harley Davidson X440 and Triumph Speed 400. Royal Enfield seems to be up for the challenge with several new bikes lined up. In September it is going to launch the new Bullet 350. After that, we can expect it to launch the Himalayan 450 and probably another 450cc bike. Then we could see some 650cc bikes with the Scrambler, Bagger spotted in testing.
