Maruti Suzuki-Toyota Wagon R EV

Maruti has been testing the WagonR EV for quite some time now. Now with the collaboration with Toyota, both brands could launch the WagonR EV. Both brands could add some of their styling elements.  It is expected to offer a range of 150km with a full charge. 

Tata Altroz EV

Tata has showcased the Altroz EV during various Auto Expo’s. The Altroz EV will continue Tata’s electric domination plan. It will come with Tata’s Ziptron technology with an IP-67 rated battery with a claimed range of 300km. Pricing wise it will sit between the Nexon EV and Tigor EV in Tata’s EV lineup. 

Mahindra eKUV100

Mahindra is known for its SUV lineup and the brand is looking to establish its EV on its existing SUVs. The eKUV100 will start Mahindra’s electric vehicle journey in India. It will be powered by a 15.9kW motor with a claimed range of 150km on a single charge. 

Upcoming electric vehicles- Mahindra XUV400

According to recent rumours, Mahindra is going to name the eXUV300 as XUV400. Mahindra has showcased the eXUV300 at various events. This car will directly compete with the Tata Nexon EV. It is expected to get a claimed range of around 375km on a single charge.

MG Nexon EV rival

MG already has its presence in the EV space with its ZS EV. But it is working on bringing a more affordable model to compete with the Nexon EV. It will have a range of 400km. The car will cost under Rs 20 lakhs to take some market share from the Nexon EV.

Volvo XC40 recharge

The XC40 recharge is the electric version of the XC40 SUV. The XC40 recharge will get a twin-battery setup with a claimed range of 418km. It will come through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route in India. It is expected to be launched early next year.

Tesla is working on bringing its Model 3 to India. We have already seen the Model 3 being tested here in India. The Model 3 will come with its standard variant to keep the pricing competitive. It will come loaded with features to attract customers. The launch is expected somewhere in the middle of 2022.

Ford Mustang Mach-e

Ford recently wrapped up its Indian manufacturing operation. But Ford still wants to keep a foothold in the Indian market. It is expected to bring a lot of global cars through the CBU route in India. The Mustang Mach-e will be its first electric model. Though it will be quite expensive, still it will be a good alternative to Tesla.

Mercedes globally unveiled the EQS in the middle of 2021. The EQS is a luxury-focused EV from Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes has listed the car on its official Indian site. It should launch in India somewhere around early next year.
