2022 Tata Harrier facelift – what will it get?
The Harrier has been a really good product for Tata in the Indian market. It is known for its aggressive design language, powerful engines and massive road presence. When launched, the Harrier was quite a unique product. But now it is facing stiff competition from the newer cars in the seven-seater segment. Also, the Harrier was launched in 2019 and hasn’t gotten any big update since its launch. Seeing Tata’s update history, it is expected to get a facelift soon. In today’s article, we will see the 2022 Tata Harrier facelift and the things it will get.
2022 Tata Harrier facelift- Design
The Harrier already comes with a great design, but in its facelift, Tata will give it some subtle changes to differentiate the two models. It will get updated front bumpers and headlamps placement. The headlamps will be converted to a full LED setup. At the rear, it will get updated bumpers and tailgate. Also, it will get an 18-inch tyre standard in all variants. Tata will also give it new alloy wheels.
Specifications
Currently, the Harrier comes with a powerful 2.0-litre diesel engine. But a petrol engine will help Tata to lower its starting price. Also, it will be better for people that have less usage. It will be also beneficial for Tata considering the upcoming emission norms. Tata is reportedly working on a 1.6-litre petrol engine which will be perfect for the Harrier. Tata can introduce this new engine in the facelift.
2022 Tata Harrier facelift- Features
The Harrier facelift will come with a lot of new features. It will get features like ventilated seats, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 360-degree camera, air purifier and ambient lighting. Another addition will be a bigger touchscreen with an improved user interface.
Pricing and launch
Currently, the pricing of the Harrier starts from Rs 17.76 lakh and goes to Rs 26.03 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). With the facelift, Tata will ask for a premium of 40-50k depending on the variants. If Tata launches the petrol variant, it will be around Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the diesel variants. The Harrier facelift is expected to be launched in 2022.
