The lifestyle SUV segment is catching up in the Indian car market. The Jimny is a hotly anticipated car in this segment. Maruti has been testing it for India but hasn’t launched it yet.  Maruti is expected to bring the 5-door version of the Jimny, which will be more practical in India. If launched, the Jimny will be the cheapest car with a 4×4 drivetrain.

This SUV version of the Baleno is in its development stages and is codenamed YTB. It will most likely carry the same design language as the Baleno in an SUV stance.

As mentioned above, Mahindra is updating its SUV lineup. The Bolero is another important SUV in its lineup. Mahindra will look to give it an update in the exteriors and Interiors. Like the Scorpio, it also might get some new features from the XUV700.

Tata is expanding its EV lineup at a rapid pace. Currently, it is updating its ICE-powered cars with EV powertrains. So we expect the recently launched Punch to also get an EV avatar soon. This Tata Punch EV will get Tata’s Ziptron technology with an expected range of 300-350km. It will also get fast charging capabilities similar to the Nexon.
