MG recently unveiled the Astor. It is based on the ZS EV, but it will get its own identity. MG has loaded the Astor with segment-first features like ADAS (level2) and personal assistant. Such features surely make it more feature than the Creta. Dimensions wise it, is a bit longer than the Creta.
Upcoming Creta competition cars Mahindra XUV700
XUV700 was one of the most hotly anticipated launches in the country. Though the XUV700 is not a direct competitor to Creta, its pricing has pitted it against Creta. Its 5-seater variant offers almost everything that Creta offers with more space and features. Features like ADAS and sony sound system will also help it to take on the Creta.
New-gen Duster
Renault Duster was one of the first cars in this segment. But Renault didn’t update the Duster leading to its downfall. Renault recently launched the new generation of the Duster abroad. So we can expect Renault to bring it to India too. This new generation gets an updated design, gearbox and features.
Maruti-Toyota Creta comeptition
Maruti and Toyota are working on a C-segment car to take on the Creta. The car will be based on the Toyota TNGA platform. It will be shared by both brands with their unique characteristics. Considering Maruti’s popularity in India, it can surely challenge the dominance of Creta.
Upcoming Creta competition cars Tata Blackbird
Tata is looking to enter the Creta segment with its rumored Blackbird. Blackbird will share the design with other Tata cars. If Tata can bring a 5-star rated car in this segment, it can revolutionize this segment. The car is expected to be launched in 2023-24.
