Second-hand SUVs – These are the ones to buy
The SUV trend might be picking up in India now, but SUVs have also been aspirational in India. The second-hand SUV market has been booming due to the SUV trend coupled with the micro-chip shortage across the globe. Going for a second-hand SUV offers a big car at an affordable price. SUVs also provide a good road presence and an ‘Above All’ feeling. In today’s article, we will be looking at some good second-hand SUVs for you to consider.
Toyota Fortuner
The Toyota Fortuner is one of the most iconic SUVs in India. The Fortuner is known for its muscular road presence, powerful performance, space & cabin comfort. The reliability of Toyota is why so many old Fortuners are still running in perfect conditions. Due to its high sales, Fortuner is readily available in the second-hand car market. Spare parts are also easily available making it a great second-hand car.
Mahindra Scorpio
Mahindra is known for its rugged SUV lineup. The Scorpio is one such car. It provides punchy performance and space at a decent price. It is very popular in rural areas for its multiple capabilities. Being available in the market for so many years has also made the availability of its spare quite easy.
Maruti Vitara Brezza diesel
The BS6 norms might have dented the diesel engine line-up of Maruti, however, these cars are still available in the second-hand car market. Maruti cars, in general, are quite reliable and second-hand cars can also serve you well. As the diesel engine is discontinued, finding the diesel Brezza is a bit hard and due to its demand, prices are high.
Mitsubishi Pajero SFX
Though the Pajero has been discontinued in the Indian market, it is still a good buy for people looking for a car to do hardcore off-roading. The Pajero was popular for its fancy colour combinations like red-white and yellow-grey, subtly hiding the beast inside. The price of the Pajero is quite low in the second-hand market as the after-sales service of Mitsubishi is not adequate.
Ford Endeavour
The first-generation Ford Endevaour Hurricane was a butch looking SUV. Although the currently available Endeavour looks more muscular, the first-generation car did hold its unique presence in the market. The car was a great blend of power and space. It was also a capable off-roader. Similar to the Fortuner, due to its decent sales, spare part availability shouldn’t be a problem.
