3 Adventure bikes we want in India
The adventure bike market is growing quite well in India. There are some bikes outside India which we think will do quite well in the Adventure Touring segment. Here are 3 such bikes which we think will make for good adventure tourers in India.
Yamaha WR 155
This is an adventure tourer based on the Yamaha LC 155cc engine. This is the same engine that we see on the Yamaha R15. This adventure bike is expected to take its place somewhere between the Xpulse and the Himalayan. Also, it is expected to be better than both of this bike so it would be like a middle ground in the Adventure bike territory.
The price of this bike is expected at about Rs 1.5 lakhs where currently the MT 15 is. This bike would make for a great beginner adventure motorcycle in India.

Yamaha Tenere 700
Yamaha Tenere 700 looks like a bike that is pulled right out of a Dakar Rally. The looks of the headlight are functional and had a very offset layout. The engine has a 698cc of displacement and is a parallel-twin engine. The engine makes about 72.41 bhp and 68 Nm of torque. The bike gets a 16-litre fuel tank and has a decent range. Also, the bike would make for good tourers as it has good highway manners and also might perform great off-road with its high ground clearance of 240mm.
Kawasaki KLR650
The 2022 model of the Kawasaki KLR 650 has been showcased. We wish that this bike should get launched in India as it has the potential to take over the rival from BMW and Triumph. The KLR although has a smaller engine than its rivals the engine is supposed to be a bulletproof engine. Now the KLR models have never been introduced in India and it is quite not expected from Kawasaki to divert from this approach.
These adventure bikes have been above having certain reasons why they have not been introduced in India. Although they do have a demand there are certain homologation restrictions that make it difficult for these bikes to come to India.
