News about the Hyundai Alcazar coming with a 2.0-litre engine has come out. We are going to lay in facts that will let you decide if there is a chance that the is Hyundai Alcazar could get that bigger engine or could it continue with the engine on the Hyundai Creta.
Why a bigger engine?
The Hyundai Alcazar is a bigger car and evidently will have more weight. So you might think that a bigger engine will make it a better car. But here are some reasons why we think that the Hyundai Alcazar will continue with the same engines as the Hyundai Creta.
Hyundai Creta Engines
Hyundai Creta gets 3 engines. 2 of them are naturally aspirated and one of them is turbocharged. Hyundai Creta Petrol. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine makes about 112 bhp and 144 Nm of torque. Another engine with a 1.4-litre turbocharged configuration makes 138 bhp and 242 nm of torque.
If given a 2.0-litre diesel engine it will make more power but also be slightly less fuel-efficient. Also bringing this engine in India the same way it comes on the Hyundai Tucson will make the Hyundai Alcazar an expensive buy. Why would Hyundai not use the engine that it is currently producing on the Hyundai Creta which will reduce on production cost if shared on 2 cars?
Also the 1.5-litre diesel engine is quite torquey and it makes about 250 Nm of torque. Also the gearboxes on these engines are also vast giving Hyundai customers a lot to choose.
Insurance on the cars with an engine which is smaller than 1.5 litre is a bit less. This could add to the benefit of the customers and could be a buying point for a lot of customers who are considering some driving dynamics.
So to conclude it finally the Hyundai Alcazar might not come with a 2.0-litre engine that we see on the Hyundai Tucson. There could be a possibility of a 4-wheel drive. This is the only place where we could see the 2.0-litre engine from Tucson. Also, this might be the most expensive variant that we see on the Hyundai Alcazar.
