Royal Enfield had already declared that they would be bringing a new bike every quarter, irrespective of it being a completely new product or just an update of an existing product. With this timeline, the brand might bring the new Classic 350 this year. In this article, we will discuss the new RE Classic 350 and what it might have to offer with the update.

Engine

RE classic New colours

The engine on the new RE Classic 350 will be the same unit that we see on the Meteor. The engine is an all-new air-oil cooled 349cc unit that is developed to deliver a bit more power and lesser vibrations. Due to this being an oil-cooled unit, the heating issues will reduce by a considerable amount.

The current Classic 350 has a receding torque curve, meaning the torque output comes in very early, leaving no room for torque at higher ends. With the new engine, this characteristic has been altered a bit, but it is still prominent.

Design

Royal Enfield Classic 350

The new RE Classic 350 is expected to carry most of the elements of the current Classic forward. However, the major changes will include a new J-shaped split frame that helps in reducing vibrations. Moreover, the new frame will allow for better handling. Other changes might include an analogue-plus-digital speedometer. The instrument unit is expected to change, however, the digital tripper that we get to see on the Meteor might come as an accessory. The new Classic might now get a digital fuel gauge that will replace the low-fuel light.

The new bike might now get switches, levers and grips from the Meteor. With the new grips, riding the Classic over longer distances will become more comfortable. Also, the springs below the seats are expected to disappear from the latest iteration. The bike might also get new colour options along with new alloy wheels. Both these additions will help give the Classic 350 a fresh look.
