Even before the official launch of this SUV, it has already entered in direct competition with the segment-king, the Hyundai Creta. Dimensions
The Skoda Kushaq is 4225mm long, 1760mm wide and 1612mm tall with a ground clearance of 188mm. The boot has a capacity of 385-litre boot that is expandable up to 1405-litre. The Hyundai Creta on the other hand stands at 4300mm long, 1790mm wide and 1635mm tall with a ground clearance of 190mm.
The Creta has a wheelbase of 2610mm, whereas the wheelbase of the Kushaq has been kept at 2651mm, making it the longest wheelbase in its segment.
Engine specifications
The Skoda Kushaq could be opted with two engine options; a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder TSI engine which is capable of producing 113bhp and 175Nm torque and a much powerful 1.5-litre TSI engine that can produce 148bhp and 250Nm of torque.
The 1.0-litre unit comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as a 6-speed torque converter. The 1.5-litre unit comes mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The Skoda Kushaq is a FWD.
The Hyundai Creta on the other hand is offered with options of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines along with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. The 1.5-litre petrol engine is capable of making 113bhp and 144Nm of torque. This unit comes mated to a manual as well as a CVT gearbox.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine is capable of making 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. This unit comes mated to a manual and a torque converter unit. The 1.4-litre unit on the Creta makes the most power at 138bhp. The maximum torque stands at 242Nm. This unit can be had with an automatic DCT unit only.
Features
The Skoda has loaded multiple features on the Kushaq. The car gets wireless connectivity via Android Auto & Apple Car Play, wireless charging, cruise control, Skoda Connect connected car tech, paddle-shifters, an ambient lighting system, electric sunroof, touch-controlled climate controls and ventilated leather front seats to name some.
Creta on the other hand gets features like a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, paddle shifters, electronic parking brake with Auto-Hold, premium BOSE sound system, rear disc brakes, Blue Link connected car tech and traction control modes.
