New KTM RC has been spotted a couple of times and the reaction of the masses with this vehicle have not been that great. The RC 390 and 200 have remained unchanged for years and people have grown used to the committed riding posture. Now we have come across some spy shots of the New KTM RC. Here we put it against the existing KTM RC.

New KTM RC from the rear has some major changes. It gets new grab handles, and a new tail light unit. Also the prominent trellis frame has been reduced.

The tyre hugger remains the same and there is no muffler. This suggest that test mule that has been spotted could be an RC 200 or RC 125.

Another big change on the test mule was the split seat. The vents on the new faring are a bit wider and this might be done to improve the cooling.

Now that you have both these vehicles side to side you can clearly see that there is change in the ergonomics of the bike. This might upset the enthusiasts but the buyer who wants to buy the bike for daily city rides will be much happier.

The newer faring seems a bit smaller. The headlight unit has a steeper angle. This might sport the same unit as the Adventure series of bikes.

Another major changes are the new alloy wheels. These seem like they have been borrowed of the Husqvarna Vitplien. These wheels will be lighter and make the bike more agile. The strength of these wheels is somewhere we are concerned.

Bigger brakes

With the new KTM RC 390 we are getting to see a bigger disc brake unit. the brake callipers are different and the disc brake design is different too. Improved bite could make its way on the bike but what it needs is a well calibrated ABS with it.

Other Expected Changes

We are expecting the bike to have a slightly softer suspension. If KTM gives it front adjustable suspension then the bike would nail being a track machine. Rider modes on the 390 seems like an unavoidable addition. Apart from that we do not see KTM changing much on the bike.
