The Tata Tiago EV will be very similar to the gasoline-powered Tiago in terms of design. However, some changes will be made on the exterior as well as interior to differentiate the EV from the gasoline-powered variant. New closed-grille on the front and new alloy wheels might be present on the EV. Also, blue accents might be present on the alloys as well as the body to highlight the electric-avatar of the Tiago.

The platform used for the EV will be the same platform which underpins the Tigor EV. The battery used on the Tiago EV is expected to be the same from the Tigor EV. The Tigor EV uses a 3-phase AC induction motor which is capable of producing 40bhp and 105Nm of torque.

The range of the EV is expected to be around 130km. With this range, the Tiago will be perfectly suited for intra-city travels, helping the users save their fuel expenses. The battery will be available with fast charging, meaning it will be a quick plug-and-go element. For city travels, quick charging times will enhance the comfort and convenience of the Tiago EV. This point alone would attract considerable number of buyers.
