The seven seater game is heating up. This year we have seen the Tata Safari launched and a few months ago we saw the MG Hector plus too. Now coming soon are the new generation XUV500 and the Scorpio from Mahindra this year. So not to be left out of the party, the new Hyundai Alcazar is coming soon. So if you are in the market for a 7 seater under Rs 30 lakhs – should you wait?

Best features in the class

Now with the Creta itself, Hyundai offers a lot features. The voice enabled panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake, paddle shifters, air purifier, ventilated seats and BlueLink with 50 plus features. The car is loaded. In the upcoming New Hyundai Alcazaer we expect the list to increase. As some spy shots have shown in the past – the car will get a bigger touchscreen than the 10.25-inch display that is currently available.

The whole dashboard will have a new layout. The seats will be more comfortable and the second row will have various combination along with captain seats. Features like wireless charging will also be provided in the second row and it will get a armrest with adjustability. And lastly is the third row, the reason behind making this car in the first place. Apart from chargers, AC vents with blower adjustability, we hope Hyundai keeps space and some more creature comforts in mind.

New Hyundai Alcazar Design

The design language will be similar to the Creta from the front to the B-pillar. Its after the rear door and the C-pillar to the back of the car that things will change and will look very different. New taillights, bigger alloy wheels, new roof design and better glass area is expected with this car. Hyundai will offer much better color schemes that are not available on the Hyundai Creta. The New Hyundai Alcazar will look more premium and will offer better road presence.

New XUV500 – Should you wait for it?

Engine and gearbox

Engine options on the new Hyundai Alcazar will include the same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, plus the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. These engines could be retuned with a bump in power but we will have to wait and find out. The car won’t get four wheel drive but more drive modes. Gearbox options will include manual, IVT, CVT and a seven speed DCT.

Additionally, we could see the car come with driving aids like adaptive cruise control, park assist, lane assist, heads-up display and a 360 degree camera.
