The British manufacturer MG has set a firm foot in the country with all its offerings till date, whether it be the gasoline-powered MG Hector or the brand’s electric car, the MG ZS EV or the brand’s premium SUV, the MG Gloster. MG recently revamped two of its products, the Hector and the ZS EV with facelifts. The petrol-version of the MG ZS is expected to be very similar to its electric counterpart in terms of design and styling. We expect MG to retain most of the elements of the EV. The front grille and the rear LED tail-lamps are expected to be the same on the ZS Petrol with overall styling also similar, however, we expect to see new LED projector headlights with the new LED DRL pattern, new alloys and new fog-lamp housing on the ZS Petrol.

The ZS in the global market gets a 1.5-litre VTi engine which produces 118bhp and 150Nm of torque. The global market also gets a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine also which produces 161bhp and 230Nm of torque. The car comes with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic in the global markets.

Features

MG Rs 12 Lakh SUV

The MG ZS Petrol is expected to come with most of the features which the ZS EV gets. Touchscreen infotainment system, push start-stop button, air purifier, power-adjustable driver seat, panoramic sunroof, driving modes and cruise control are some of the features which MG might bring to the petrol-version as well. Some other features like automatic headlamps, automatic rain-sensing wipers and heated-ORVM might also be offered.

Safety

The MG ZS EV is a 5-star NCAP safety-rated car. The same standards are expected to be pushed to the petrol-version as well. Safety features like ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, 6-airbags, 3-point seatbelt, electric parking brake, hill descent control, hill start assist, ESC, parking sensors and reverse parking camera with guidelines are some of the safety features expected to come with the ZS Petrol.
