At an on-road price of 9.36 lakhs for Mumbai one can get a good Mahindra 7 seater which is good on mileage too. Apart from these things the Mahindra Bolero is a tough looking car. This is a downside as the design might not take everyone’s fancy!

Honda Amaze
At Rs 9.15 lakhs the Honda Amaze is the best competitor diesel Sedan you can buy. The claimed 24.17 mileage is good and the car is really good for daily city usage. The E variant is the cheapest diesel variant that you get on the Amaze. But you can also choose the S variant at 9.78 lakhs.
Tata Altroz
This is the most cheapest car that you can buy. Also it is in the Premium hatchback segment which makes it a very good deal. The Tata Altroz Rhythm XE variant is the one that you should go for if you want a value for money diesel vehicle. The other car in the premium hatchback segment is the Hyundai i20 at Rs 9.79 lakhs.
Ford Freestyle
Ford Freestyle is priced at Rs 9.77 lakhs. One can go for the Ford Figo but the Freestyle is much better car. It gets a few more features and the better ground clearance its better for Indian Road conditions. The Ford Aspire too comes at 9.95 lakhs but if you want a Sedan the Amaze is a much better deal.
Hyundai Aura
At Rs 9.22 lakhs the Hyundai Aura is cheaper than the Honda Amaze but it does lose some space. The Hyundai Aura would be for someone looking at a newer design which would look contemporary.
