New Interiors and Infotainment

We also expect the overall layout of the interiors to be slightly changed to add a fresh new look to the car. As people in India are growing more concerned about safety, Maruti may ultimately increase the price of the vehicle to provide decent safety features comparable to the competition. Maruti Suzuki Celerio’s main rival Tata Tiago has scored 4-star safety rating in the Global NCAP tests.

Price and Competition

The next-gen Celerio could come at a small premium over the current model priced between Rs 4.41 lakh and Rs 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will continue to be positioned between the S-Presso and the WagonR with a launch likely in early-2021. The Celerio still rivals the likes of the Hyundai Santro, Tata Tiago and Datsun Go. Maruti is expected to introduce the Celerio X version of the new model as well.
