Skoda is planning to launch a lot of SUV segment vehicles in the upcoming vehicles. The Skoda Kamiq is also one mid-size SUV which will be the most affordable CBU model in their lineup. Here is all that you need to know about the launch of the SUV and some information from Skoda Kamiq Spyshots.

The Skoda Kamiq will be available in limited numbers. It will be there in the product lineup till the Vision IN is ready.  We are expecting the Kamiq to compete with the Jeep compass in price but will have the size and spacing like the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. This kind of absurd pricing will be because the car will be a CBU unit and just like the Karoq it will be priced exuberantly. For those who don’t know, Karoq is priced at Rs 25 lakhs ex-showroom which is way expensive than the segment.

Also, the Kamiq might be priced at about Rs 17 to 20 lakhs and even though it will become the cheapest CBU it will still be one of the most expensive in the segment. The replacement, Vision IN, is expected to have a lower price tag of about Rs 10 to 17 lakhs because of local production.

After the entry of the Vision IN it does not sound profit for Skoda to retain the Skoda Kamiq within the same segment at a higher price.

About Skoda Kamiq Spyshots

The Skoda Kamiq will be made on the MQB-A0 platform. This is already being used on the T-Roc. The CBU Import will keep the quality high and there will be a considerable difference in the touch and feel of materials. Also, the limited quantity of the vehicles means that there will be an exclusivity to the product.

Skoda Kamiq Spyshots shows a car that is low slung and has a straight roofline. The car could be mistaken of a station wagon because of its length and low dimensions. Also, the spilt headlamps at the front with the daytime running lights above it keep it different from the other Skoda cars in the lineup. What unmistakenly makes it look like a Skoda is a new grill which is on all the Skoda Cars.

Kamiq Specifications

Skoda Kamiq Spyshots do not reveal any information about how we expect the car to be petrol only featuring a TSI turbo petrol 1.5-litre engine. This engine would produce 150 Bhp of power and 250 Nm of troque. There will be one variant and one engine and gearbox option.  The 7-speed DCT would be peppy and the car might pack a sporty performance. To go along with that it will also have Skoda’s signature virtual cockpit instrument cluster.
