Toyota officially informed us that an increase in exchange rates has forced Toyota to take this drastic step. Both the cars are completely imported in India as a fully built unit. Toyota had also hiked the prices of its range of cars and SUVs last month. Both the cars above mentioned are now available as fully loaded top-spec variants.
Change in Toyota Yaris
Toyota has ditched several variants of its popular sedan car, the Yaris. Recently Yaris was put up for sale in GeM, the Government of India Marketplace. Now 11 variants are available for purchase contrary to 14. Toyota also increased the price of its offering by Rs.1.68 lakh last month.

New News and Launches except Toyota price hike India
Toyota will soon launch Urban Cruiser which will be based on Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Like the Glanza and Baleno, both the cars will share many things among them. These cars are a result of a partnership between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. The compact SUV segment sells high figures but is a highly competitive segment, so Toyota wants to fully utilize the expertise of Suzuki here.
