The Datsun Redi Go was a car whose facelift was teased a few weeks back. With only the silhouette of the car and the LED daytime running light, the teaser images did not reveal that much. But now that the Datsun Redi Go facelift has been launched we can finally know what has changed. We also have the price and variants list which we will further break down to give you a better insight on which variant to buy.

Datsun Redi Go Facelift Major Changes

The Datsun Redi Go facelift gets the first noticeable change at the front. The car gets a completely redesigned front with LED daytime running lights which surround the LED fog lamps. Having LED white Fog lamps is a debatable topic but getting them on a car at this price is a good deal. The Headlamps of the vehicle seem to have a normal bulb setup which might be a cost-cutting measure. We can see a lot of sharp lines in the overall design as compared to the previous design which was a bit bulbous. Also, the grill gets this wide honeycomb design which overall makes the front look tall and bold.

The rear gets the angular tail lamps which also miss out on LED setup. The wheels of the car are 14-inch steel wheels which get a wheel cap that makes it look like an alloy wheel. This is the similar trick that is seen on the Renault Triber. There are no other changes on the vehicle more than the updated bumper on both ends

Price and Variants

The car gets 4 basic variants – D, A, T and T(O). All of these are offered with an 800cc engine and the 1.0-litre engine is on the topmost variant only. The topmost variant also gets the AMT gearbox. The prices start from Rs 2.83 lakh and go till Rs 4.77 lakhs. At these prices, the car rivals Maruti Alto, Maruti Spresso and the Renault Kwid. The price table is as given below

Variant Price
Redigo facelift D Rs 2.83 lakh
Redigo facelift A Rs 3.58 lakh
Redigo facelift T Rs 3.80 lakh
Redigo facelift T (O) 0.8L Rs 4.16 lakh
Redigo facelift T (O) 1.0L Rs 4.44 lakh
Redigo facelift T (O) AMT Rs 4.77 lakh

Safety Features

If we look at the safety aspect of this car, the company has provided a basic amount of post-accident safety. This includes only 2 airbags at the front. For prevention of an accident, there are a lot of features like ABS along with EBD. Also, there are speed lock and speed alerts. There is also a reverse parking camera and parking sensors. But they are on the topmost variant only as are most of the features mentioned above.

Engines

The Datsun Redi Go Facelift comes with 2 engine options. One is the smaller engine with 800cc displacement. It produces a power of 54 BHP and 72 Nm of torque. This is seen on all the variants. The bigger engine with 1.0-litre displacement is only available on the topmost variant. This is a 67 BHP engine producing a torque of 91 Nm. Both these engines are paired to a 5 speed Manual gearbox. The option of AMT opens on only the topmost variant with the 1.0-litre engine.
