Hyundai Santro is the entry-level hatchback from the manufacturer. Many of the buyers might have confusion among the variants of the hatchback. So the article will guide you over the features of the respective variants so that you will be able to select a proper variant. There are four Hyundai Santro variants – Era Executive, Magna, Sportz, Asta. But we will first filter out the standard features across all variants.

All the variants come equipped with a 1.

1-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces nearly 68 bhp max power and 99 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is a standard across all variants. Exterior dimensions and other mechanical specifications are the same for all the variants.

Era Executive

Hyundai Santro

Among all of the Hyundai Santro variants, the Era trim is most basic. This variant comes with engine immobilizer, rear parking sensors, driver-side airbags, ABS with EBD, child safety door locks, driver and passenger seatbelt reminder, speed alert system. It gets a dual-tone beige and black interior colour theme, front and rear door pocket 1-litre bottle holder and room lamp. The Era variant comes with convenience features include power steering, manual AC, front power windows, rear seat bench folding, remote fuel-lid and tailgate opener. Instrument panel and the multi-information display is standard across all variants.

Magna

Along with the standard and Era variant features it comes with central locking, speed sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock. The additional exterior bits include body-coloured outside door mirrors and handles. The variant has an option of the sporty black interior with Diana green inserts. The Audio system is a 2-din integrated FM/AM type that has USB and Bluetooth connectivity as well as the control on the steering. it gets speakers only at the front side. It comes with rear AC vents, power outlets, both front and rear power windows, and ticket holder. It does also have a CNG option. There’s also a 5-speed automatic gearbox option.

Price- Rs 5.04-5.85 lakhs (ex-showroom)

Sportz

With all the Magna variant features it gets some additional features. The additional features include front fog lamp, day and night inside rearview mirror, rear camera ( for AMT only), keyless entry, passenger airbag (AMT), front seat belt pre-tensioner with load limiter (AMT). At the exterior, the Magna variant gets R14 wheel covers, turn indicators on outside door mirrors. From the interior, it gets gold colour inside door handles for the AMT model. The infotainment system is a 17.64 cm touchscreen type that comes with smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The infotainment system does have voice recognition. The speakers are situated at both front and rear sides.

The variant also gets electrically adjustable ORVMs. It is been offered with a CNG option and as well as AMT option similar to Magna.

Price- Rs 5.41-6.21 lakhs (ex-showroom)

Asta

Now, the Asta variant covers all the Sportz variant features and gets some additional features. The additional features include rear defogger, Hyundai’s eco coating air-conditioner system, rear washer and wiper, passenger vanity mirror. It doesn’t come with CNG option but has an automatic gearbox option.

Price- Rs 5.7-6.26 lakhs (ex-showroom)
