Hyundai Creta has been the hottest topic for the past one year in the Auto Sector. This is impressive and offers almost all the exciting technology available in cars. But there is a lot of confusion in the variants of the vehicle. So here is an article which will help you choose an appropriate variant for yourself. Hyundai Creta Engines

So if you are a buyer who is buying the car for purely the engine factors then there is a lot of confusion too. To give you an idea there are three engine options on the vehicle – 1.5 Petrol and Diesel along with the enthusiast favourite 1.4-litre Turbo Petrol. To add to this there are 2 gearboxes on the 1.5 petrol and diesel. The Turbo petrol gets a DCT transmission and does not have a manual option. So now if you go for the Hyundai Creta Variant E then you don’t have any option of other engines except the Manual diesel This is the most basic model that you can get. The EX and the S model includes the Petrol manual and the Diesel manual too.

If you want to have all the engine options open then the SX model is the model for you. But the SX(O) model skips on the 1.5 Petrol Manual engine.

Hyundai Creta Variants – E

The E variant starts at Rs 9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). As said before this is the cheapest variant that you can buy while buying a Creta. It gets only one engine and gearbox option.

In terms of interiors and exterior design, this variant is just a car with a Hyundai badge on it. The front and the rear skid plates get a silver finish instead of matte black. The headlamps are bifunctional Projector Headlamps instead of the Trio Beam LED Headlamps. This variant also misses out on the roof rails. Most of the parts on the vehicle are body colour like the bumper, ORVM and door handles. It also misses out on the Shark Fin antenna. This variant gets an LED turn indicator on the ORVM and the integrated spoiler.

Hyundai Creta Variants

Moving to the Interior, We get two-tone black interiors. This is instead of the all-Black and Orange Interiors. In terms of interiors, this variant misses out on almost everything. For the features, it does not get a blue link. But there is some feature that makes life easy. There is the provision of following me home headlamps. It misses out on keyless entry and automatic AC. The ORVM is electronically adjustable but does not get a folding function. There are rear AC vents but it misses on the USB ports under it. The boot gets electronic release but the wiper at the rear is not there. The boot gets a light too. The power windows are available on this car but the Auto function on the driver side is not available.

Although this is the base variant the car gets a cooled glovebox. In term of the connectivity, this variant gets no features.

In terms of safety, this variant only gets 2 airbags at the front. The ABS is with electronic brake distribution but the car misses out on Electronic stability management. It gets parking sensors but a camera is missing. Being the base variant this is the only safety it gets. This is to get the car to pass the safety norms.

Hyundai Creta Variants – EX

The EX variant on the car is the one that will offer you all the above-mentioned features of the E variant. But it will also provide some additional features. To start with it will get you the option of the Manual Petrol Variant. The regular antenna on the E variant now changes into a Shark Fin antenna. In a way, the E variant of the vehicle is to keep the ex-showroom price below 10 lakhs to as an introductory price. The EX variant is where the actual Hyundai Creta variants start with both the engines paired to manual gearboxes. This is the variant where you can opt for the infotainment systems too. It gets a 20cm touchscreen system but it misses out on BlueLink features. There is BlueTooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. All this can be controlled with a voice recognition software. It does get front and rear door speakers and Tweeters but it misses out on the Bose 8 speaker set. Instead, it gets an Arkamys sound system.

Hyundai Creta Variants – S

The S variant among the Hyundai Creta Variants is seen with the same engine options as the EX and variant. All the features offered on this are also the same. So here it will tell you about the features that are offered besides. To start with the car gets the ease to park with a rear camera and steering guidelines. These are adaptive and the quality of the camera is good too. This is also where the Fog lamps come into the headlight setup and improve the visibility even further. There is a rear defogger with a timer. As it gets a camera it also has the option of review while driving too.

The looks of the car are also given alloy wheels but they are 16 inches. In the previous version, there wasn’t an option for alloy wheels.

The tail lamps of the vehicle are LED too in this variant. This variant also gets roof rails with a silver finish. The grille of the car is also finished in chrome. The interior door handles now get a metal finish. At the rear, there is a parcel shelf and the rear windows get sun shades.

For comfort, this gets a cruise control system too. This vehicle also gets keyless entry and push-button start. The key to this variant is also different. There is a USB charger at the rear below the AC vents. The infotainment system is the same as on the EX variant of the Hyundai Creta.

Hyundai Creta Variants – SX

The SX variant of the Creta is one which gets all the Engine options. With all the gearboxes. It gets most of the features and is the optimum variant. It has an ESC and Vehicle management system. This makes it safer and easier to drive. It also gets a hill assist control. The car is also safer for kids as it gets ISO to fix child seat anchors. It also takes care of you while getting off the vehicle with Puddle lamps. The burglar alarm on this variant is window sensitive too.

If we take a look at the exterior then this variant has differences for each engine type.  The Alloy wheels on the Turbo petrol have a grey finish whereas the other models get silver alloy wheels. Both of these are 17-inch wheels. The Turbo petrol among the Hyundai Creta Variants gets the Twin tip Exhaust. This is for the sporty appeal. The matte black finish for the skid plate is found only on the Turbo Petrol. The Turbo petrol variant also gets a DCT(O) variant which gets dual-tone for the Exterior.

Hyundai Creta 2020 Hyundai Creta Variants

The headlamps on this variant are Trio Beam lights. They get a crescent glow LED daytime running lights around it too. The grille on the DCT is slight of a darker shade of chrome. As we are on the topic of chrome we can also see Chrome on the door handles. The interiors on the DCT variant get orange colour packs with black fabric upholstery. The AC vents also get orange surrounds and there is contrast stitching at places. This does not go with the Ambient blue lighting and we wish there was a better way to get that lighting introduced. The steering gets a leather wrap and there is a cushion for the rear seat headrest. The Door scuff plates are metallic on this variant. Also, there is a metallic pedal on the DCT model. This model gets a panoramic sunroof too. The Electronic parking brake with auto-hold is seen in this model. But this is an optional add on to this. There is also an air Purifier which is optional. The drive mode selector, Traction control and paddle shifters are introduced in this variant. The BlueLink features are available on this vehicle too. There are a wireless smartphone charger and an integrated smartwatch app that is compatible with BlueLink.

Hyundai Creta Variants – SX(O)

The Hyundai Creta SX(O) variant is a slightly changed version of the car. It does not come with a Petrol Manual Variant. The infotainment system comes with a Bose premium sound system of 8 speakers. It gets a tyre pressure monitoring system. Only this variant gets a remote start on the manual variant. The driver seat on this variant is electronically adjustable. The instrument cluster is completely digital. There are ventilated seats for the driver. Also, there is a door armrest. The car gets leather upholstery with orange piping. It’s only available on the DCT variant. The alloy wheels are diamond cut and have a different design. The seat belt height is also adjustable on this variant. In terms of safety, it is better as it gets side and curtain airbags too. You should not miss out on how the Hyundai Creta SX(O) variant looks in real life!
