2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Design

In terms of design, the new Ninja looks a lot more aggressive than the current one. The black and red theme looks menacing too. This means that the new styling will separate it from its predecessor. The current bike looks similar to the Ninja ZX-10R, now it seems to slowly move away from the design and get some inspiration form the Ninja H2.

This was confirmed when we saw the images of the Ninja 300 that were leaked in Indonesia.  Still, it is a bit too early say much until we see the bike in flesh. The brand is looking at carrying forward the design language of the bigger bikes into the smaller ones too. This will make all the bikes look like the same family.

2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Engine

Kawasaki will be offering the 250cc version in Thailand. This is due to the fact that there are a lot of extra taxes on bikes bigger than 250cc. In India, Kawasaki could upgrade the 300cc to 350cc as per rumors, but nothing can be said as of now. Else, the bike shall continue to have a 296cc twin parallel engine that will produce 39bhp of power at about 11,000rpm, while the torque is 27Nm. This shall be mated to a six-speed transmission. Kawasaki won’t upgrade much on the engine if it continues with the 300cc. With the 350cc, it wants to compete with the rest of the new upcoming products. This will justify the higher price of this new motorcycle. The twin cylinder engine is already available on the Ninja 300.

2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Launch Date

The new Ninja 300 will be launched in mid 2017. It is a bit too early to comment but this could be the time when Kawasaki will get it in India. For the South-East Asian markets, it will be available by early 2017. The new bike is due to be launched in India, but it won’t get the 250cc. There is a higher taxation for bikes in excess of 250cc in Thailand and hence the company has developed this engine. For India, the competition is in the 300cc-400cc segment. So, the company will be working towards meeting this requirement.

2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Price

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is expect to cost about INR 3.8 lakhs (on-road). This is majorly due to increase in taxes and even some additions in the new model. It is a bit early to conclude but this is likely to be the case. The bike is not fully locally manufactured, hence it will attract a higher price.
