Honda XBlade – All Details

The Honda Blade was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018. This bike uses the same chassis and engine of the Hornet 160. The Honda X-Blade is powered by a 162cc engine and is a  premium commuter bike which is pretty well-priced. It undercuts the CB Hornet 160R. The Honda XBlade is a stylish bike, which is a good blend of practicality and sportiness. What all does this bike packing? Read further to know more.

Honda XBlade Price in India

The XBlade is  priced at ₹86,000 on-road. It comes in a similar price bracket of the Pulsar 160 NS and Suzuki Gixxer.

Honda XBlade Design

The Honda X-Blade is a sharp looking bike. This looks very attractive and eye-catching. At the front, there is full-LED headlamp which is housed in an aggressive looking cowl. There is a tall windshield that looks proportionate and adds a lot of style to this futuristic look..

The dual-tone front mudguard adds more flair to the motorcycle. The Honda X-Blade has a muscular looking fuel tank. There are sharp tank shrouds as well, which add to the sporty appeal of this bike. The instrument pod is all digital. The switchgears are similar to the Hornet 160R and it still does not feature an engine kill switch.

The side panels are black coloured ones and have a good fit and finish. There is an engine cowl which makes it look premium. The sharp styling is aided by an equally well integrated step seat.The Honda X-Blade has sharp styling at the rear as well. it gets an  LED tail lamp, alongwith split grab rails and a stylish tail section. This bike also features a rear tyre guard. Overall, this is a very attractive looking bike.

It is too early to comment on the mileage of this bike. However, we expect it to be in the range of 45km/l, in real riding conditions.

Honda XBlade Specifications

The Honda X-Blade is powered by a 162.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This unit produces 13bhp of power and 13.9Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This is the same engine that powers the CB Hornet as well. The Honda X-Blade is based on the same diamond frame chassis which makes its handling better.

Honda XBlade Suspension and Brakes

The Honda X Blade gets a telescopic fork at the front and a mono shock at the rear and  a wide 130mm rear tyre. The XBlade gets a disc brake upfront and the rear wheel comes with a drum brake.

Honda XBlade Competition

Honda X-Blade is a 160cc sporty looking bike. It will compete mainly with the Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 160 and the Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS.
