During the test drive, always ask the sales executive about all the features available. Learn to use the infotainment system and explore it thoroughly. Play audio to check the sound quality of the system. Look around the dashboard carefully to find anything, if you find a button or any switch unfamiliar, be sure to ask about it. Also, try using different features in a way that you would if it were your car. For example, connect your phone to check Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. This will give you a fair idea about the software capability as well.
Drive
Drive your test vehicle on such roads which you would usually drive on. Take the car on bad roads to check the suspension quality and comfort. To test the pickup of your car, make sure you have an open stretch so that you can experience the power delivery from the engine. Check for any rattling noises or any loose stuff in the interiors and make sure to ask the executive whether it’s a usual problem in the car or only the test vehicle has it. Turn on the AC to understand the cooling time. Check the quality of the reverse camera as well to get an idea about its visibility and quality.

Check the ground clearance so that it is easier to get in or out. Check factors such as seating position, door opening angle, under-thigh support, headroom, and legroom. Don’t forget to check the boot space and if it is ample for your usage. Also, do check the third-row space if the car is a 6/7-seater.
