Aprilia SR 150 Race Edition launched for INR 79,000 (on-road)

Aprilia SR 150 is the first 150cc performance scooter in India. The Italian bike maker has been doing well with this scooter. This is their only scooter for India and the company is getting the Aprilia SR 150 Race, which will be a special edition that shall embellish some cosmetic differences. What all does it offer? We share the details.

Aprilia SR 150 Race New Features

The changes on the scooter are purely cosmetic. To begin with, the Aprilia SR 150 will have Maze Grey Colour body, golden colour front caliper, black rubber mat with red accessories, Red Rims for front and rear, Race branding across the scooter. There shall be a more sporty exhaust too. The rear shock absorber will come with red colour springs.

These are basic cosmetic changes on the Aprilia SR 150 Race.

Aprilia SR 150 Race Specifications

The 154.8cc engine will continue to power the scooter. At the same time, the power and torque remain unchanged. The engine churns 10.4bhp of power at 6,750rpm, while the torque of this engine is 11.4Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. The scooter does get 14-inch wheels with 120/70 specifications. The front disc is 220mm with a two-piston set-up.

Aprilia SR 150 Race Top Speed

The Aprilia SR 150 and the Race have the same engine with the same specs. So, the scooter will have a top speed of 115 km/hr. This is good enough for a 150cc scooter.

Aprilia SR 150 Race Mileage

Again no difference in the mileage either. So, we reckon, the scooter should return about 35-40 km/l.

If you like to ride it fast, then there will be a dip in the mileage.

Aprilia SR 150 Race Price in India

The Aprilia SR 150 Race will be priced at INR 79,000 (on-road, Mumbai). This is about INR 4,000 more than the regular scooter after taxes. This is more of the exclusive cosmetic add-ons on this scooter. Aprilia has been selling the scooter in good numbers and it is looking at taking advantage of it even further.

Aprilia SR 150 Race Colours

This shall be made available only in the Grey colour option. There won’t be any more options on the scooter. We aren’t even certain on how many units of the Race Edition shall be made.
