Aprilia SR 150 Design

The Aprilia SR 150 has a typical European styling which is contemporary. The sporty styling of the SR 150 scooter is aimed at youngsters. The front portion has the headlight embedded into it and the turn indicators are located on the handle bar. The black white and red colour combination looks very attractive.

It has a sharply raking rear portion which has sleek panels. The taillamp is neatly integrated int0 the tailpiece and it has a two piece grab rail above it.

The rear mudguard has the turn indicators mounted on it and this gives it a similar look of a motorcycle. The seat is broad and comfortable for both rider and pillion. The color combination of black and red is interesting. This scooter also features metallic black alloy wheels which look very sporty.

The room in the front foot well is just adequate and there is also a foldable hook to hang carry bags etc. This adds to good utility. The thick telescopic forks and the large 14-inch diameter wheels, both at the front and the rear, make this scooter look aggressive  and it would look like nothing similar on the road.

The instrument console is quite simple and has a twin pod analogue unit for the speedometer, fuel gauge and odometer alongwith other tell tale lights.

It is termed the “sports-scooter” bike. The company says, the SR 150 has been designed to reflect the vehicle’s multiple features. The “beak type” design in the front with the headlamp is said to showcase the scooter’s off-roading capabilities. The scooter also gets an underseat storage compartment, twin-circle analog instrument cluster, furthermore alloy grab handles for the pillion and a flat footbed for the rider. The instrument cluster is simple with twin dials for the speedometer and fuel gauge. It has decent storage space under the seat. A half helmet can fit into the cavity under the seat.

The SR 150 has a smooth engine and enthusiasts will love the way it delivers power.

There are a bit of vibrations felt at idle but they iron out as soon as the scooter gets in motion. It is one of quickest to shoot off on traffic signals and bring a smile on the rider’s face. The SR 150 reaches the 80km/h mark in no time. It goes on further to touch triple digit speeds, a phenomenon not much known in scooters in our country.

Aprilia SR 150 Ride and Handling

The scooter employs telescopic front forks and monoshock unit at the back to handle for the suspension. The ride on this one is on the stiff side. Being a sporty scooter, it is certainly not the best one to ride over bad roads or undulations. But what the stiff suspension does is provide fantastic handling. Yes, the Aprilia SR 150 handles brilliantly. It runs on 14-inch wheels that are wrapped around with 120/70 section tyres on both the wheels.aprilia-sr150-motion-2
