2016 Maruti Alto K10 facelift coming by year end

2016 Maruti Alto K10 facelift will be coming soon after the Alto 800. As the Renault Kwid 1.0 is on its way, Maruti will not want to miss out on this opportunity to get the new K10 facelift. The K01 facelift will get cosmetic upgrades another than that there shall be no major upgrades.

The Alto K10 will continue with the same manual and AMT options.  Alto 800 facelift has just been launched and now then the Alto K10 will be next in line.

2016 Maruti Alto K10 facelift changes

The Maruti Alto K10 facelift gets minor upgrades as it will get a new front grille. There will be some subtle changes to the bumper and headlamp as well. The S badge of Suzuki will be moved below the grille. Maruti is changing the design for all its upcoming products as this will look a lot more stylish and sophisticated. The Alto 800 facelift is due to be launched this month and it has already got this change on it.

The rear doesn’t get a major change either. The Alto K10’s side profile too will be the same. Maruti Suzuki is refreshing the Alto K10 as the competition is preparing to get into the 1.

The 2016 Maruti Alto K10 facelift will come in Tangy Orange, Silky Silver, Fire Brick Red, Blue, Grey and White colour options mostly.

2016 Maruti Alto K10 facelift variants

The Maruti Alto K10 will be offered with LX, LXI, VXI variants and an optional variant too with the addition of airbag. Maruti is now offering an optional airbag even on the Alto K10, for those who consider safety as a priority.

2016 Maruti Alto K10 facelift engine

The 1.0-litre K Series engine will be powering the Alto K10.

The Alto K10 will be offered with an option of CNG as well. Both these are offered with a five-speed manual transmission and there will even be an AGS. The petrol produces 67bhp of power at 6000rpm while the CNG produces about 58bhp at 6000rpm.

The 90Nm and 78Nm torque respectively are good enough for city driving.

The CNG and AGS (AMT) do not come together as a factory fit. Maruti isn’t offering a single AGS with CNG model on any of its products. This will increase the price drastically and make it an expensive buy. The power of this engine is good enough for this hatchback making it a good option to consider.
