Maruti Swift Price Expectation 

One of the most anticipated launches of the year, the new Maruti Swift is set to make its debut in May 2024. It was earlier launched internationally and has been spotted in India on multiple occasions. Thanks to all the spy shots, we already know what the hatchback will look like and what all the car will offer. However, we are still unaware about the pricing of the new Swift. So today, let’s discuss the new Swift price in India.

New Swift Price

Compared to the outgoing model, the new Swift will be loaded with much more features. In fact the car will also come with many exciting segment first features. Currently, the hatchback has been priced between Rs 7.05 lakh to Rs 10.51 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Now obviously the prices will see a hike with all the new updates. That said, we can expect a price hike of upto Rs 40k to Rs 80k, depending on the variants. Considering the premium, the new Swift could be priced anywhere between Rs 7.50 lakh to Rs 11.15 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

New Swift – Design Changes

Thankfully, Maruti Suzuki has not played a lot with the exterior design as it has been loved by masses. However, some minor tweaks have been done to refresh the looks of the car. The headlamps are new with blacked-out or smoked effects. The grille is new and larger, along with the new bumpers. The side remains the same with repositioned rear door handles while getting new quarter glass for a sense of airiness. Also, expect new alloy wheels for the facelift. The rear too remains unchanged but has new clear lens tail lamps and new rear bumpers.

Interior & Features

The interior however is all new and shares design similarities with the Baleno and the Fronx. It gets a multi-layered dashboard with a floating 9.0-inch touchscreen system. Now the global product comes with grey and white interior theme but we can expect an all black interior colour theme on the Indian. In terms of features the new Swift will get first in segment – blind spot monitoring system, as seen on a few spy shots. Rest it will probably get the new touchscreen, ARKAMYS sound system, wireless charger, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, head-up display, and a few more.

Specifications 

Powering the new Swift will be the new 1.2-litre Z-Series petrol engine. Why new? Well the new engine is a 3-cylinder unit, compared to 4-cylinder from the older engine. In fact the overall power is also less on the new engine. Still, Maruti, or rather Suzuki, believes that the new engine will never feel underpowered and return impressive mileage. That said, the new 1.2-litre Z-series engine produces 80bhp and 108Nm of peak torque. The transmission options will likely remain the same with manual and AMT gearboxes.

New Swift – Launch 

According to reports, the new Swift is set to launch on 9th of May 2024. If that’s true, Maruti will soon start with teasers and even open the bookings for the new Swift. In the next few months, we can expect the launch of the new Maruti Dzire. Overall, both the Maruti Swift, and the Maruti Dzire are set to return in new avatars.
