Now we all know how much we Indians love sunroofs in cars. The automakers have learned the requirements and started providing it for us. But when we talk about sunroofs, the first thing that comes to our mind is about safety. Typically, a roof has horizontal bars which look after the safety. For instance when you drive out on roads and turn your vehicle in any direction at any angle, those bars on the roof are responsible for maintaining the stability of your vehicle. Now when the automaker themselves offer a panoramic sunroof, they design the roof in such a way that it continues to offer stability. So what happens when you install a panoramic sunroof from the after market world?

Scorpio Classic Panoramic Sunroof

To explain that, let’s take a look at the glass roof installed in the Scorpio Classic. Now to install the one large piece of glass, the modifiers have chopped the horizontal bars. Once they chopped off those bars, the stability of the Scorpio is now completely gone. The massive roof might look attractive but playing with something which is responsible for maintaining your vehicle’s stability can prove very risky. So anytime you are opting for any types of modifications, please see to it that the modifiers do not play with the skeleton of your car by any means.

Mahindra Scorpio Modified – Other Modifications & Cost

Rest, the Scorpio Classic can be seen with other modifications like large alloy wheels and some tasteful interior bits. On the inside we can see black and white leather seats which match with the rest of the interior of the SUV. Also, the roof lining has been changed with quilted leather type finish which actually does look pretty good. Now the presenter has not mentioned the cost of installation of the glass roof alone. But he shared a total cost of interior and glass roof which comes at Rs 50,000. So, the amount might tempt you to install a glass roof in your car but like we said, avoid modifications which includes the alteration of the skeleton of the car.
