Hyundai Exter

Next up, we have the Hyundai Exter, which is Hyundai’s entry-level SUV option. Like other cars on this list, the Exter also ticks a lot of boxes. Another micro-SUV on the list is the Punch, which started the whole trend. Overall the Punch is another solid package from Tata Motors. It comes with a 5-star crash test rating, decent performance and a good amount of features. Talking about specs, it comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine capable of producing 86bhp and 115Nm of torque. Like the Altroz, it comes with the twin-cylinder technology opening up space in the boot. Maruti Baleno/Fronx

Under Rs 10 lakhs, the Baleno and Fronx offer great value. The Sigma and Delta variants of the Fronx are slightly better than the Baleno. The Fronx additionally also comes with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Feature-wise, you get a digital instrument cluster, 360-degree, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, 8.0-inch infotainment etc. Pricing-wise, the Magnite starts from Rs 7.38 lakh and goes to Rs 13.22 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
