Tata Nexon Automatic Cheaper By Rs 2.30 Lakh

India’s one of the best selling SUV the Tata Nexon gets new variants with automatic transmission. The Nexon received a facelift in 2023 which came equipped with an AMT gearbox from the Creative variant. The AMT variant was priced at Rs 14.04 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), making it a bit expensive. Now, with the lower variants getting an AMT option, it gets affordable by Rs 2.30 lakh. So which variants get the automatic option and what is pricing?

New Tata Nexon – Variant & Pricing

Talking about variants and pricing, Tata has introduced AMT options on the Smart+, Pure, and Pure S variants, for both petrol and diesel. Below we have mentioned the prices of these new variants.

Smart+ Petrol AMT – Rs 11.73 lakh

Pure Petrol AMT – Rs 12.52 lakh

Pure S Petrol AMT – Rs 13.10 lakh

Pure Diesel AMT – Rs 14.28 lakh

Pure S Diesel AMT – Rs 14.87 lakh

Note – all the prices mentioned are on-road, Mumbai prices.

Engine Specifications 

The engine specifications for both petrol and diesel, however, remain unchanged. Which means that the Nexon continues to get a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine which produces 117bhp & 172Nm of torque. This engine is mated with 5 speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed AMT & 7-speed DCA transmissions. Next, we have the 1.5-litre diesel engine which produces 113bhp & 250Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT transmissions.

New Tata Nexon – Features 

Even the feature list of these variants are the same as before. The list includes – 7.0-inch Harman touchscreen system, 4 speakers + 2 tweeters, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, push button engine start/stop, cooled glove box, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps and tail lamps, and height adjustable driver seat.
