The overall silhouette of the Altroz Racer is the same as the normal variant. However, Tata has given it a sportier outlook with the black bonnet and white stripes on it. Other than that, we have new blacked-out alloy wheels and extended spoiler. The Altroz already looks quite bold, and these additions give it an even bolder look.

Specifications

The real deal of the racer edition is under the hood. It comes with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that powers the much bigger Nexon. This engine is capable of producing 118bhp and 172 Nm of torque. The normal Altroz feels quite nice and sporty to drive, so with the upgraded engine, it could be even better than the Volkswagen Polo. The Altroz racer is only expected to come with a manual gearbox, Tata seems to be targeting enthusiasts with it.
