While other Tata cars like the Tiago, Tigor and the Altroz are yet to receive an update, the brand has gone ahead and updated its smallest EV, the Tiago.ev with more features. In a recent instance, Tata Motors have silently updated the feature list of the Tiago EV. Firstly, they have replaced the old 3D Tata logo with the 2D logo as seen on recent Tata EVs. Inside, the hatchback now gets a new gear lever for premium appeal. Along with that, the top XZ+ Tech Lux variant gets auto dimming IRVM. Additionally, all the variants from the XZ+ now get a pollen filtre and 45W Type-C USB charging socket at the front. Rest, the Tiago EV remains unchanged.

Tiago EV As A Product

Priced between Rs 8.42 lakh to Rs 12.61 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), Tiago EV is one of those EV cars that offers an excellent package. It is a feature loaded car with well built interiors and 4-star safety ratings. It comes with two battery pack options which includes a smaller 19.2kWh and a bigger 24kWh. The smaller battery gets a 45kWh motor which produces 105Nm torque. Whereas the larger battery pack gets a 55kWh motor which produces 114Nm of peak torque. Talking about the range, the smaller capacity battery gets a claimed range of 250km while the 24kWh battery gets a claimed range of 315km.

Tata’s Future Plan In India

The year 2024 will be an exciting year for the Indian automotive industry. Tata will be bringing an all new SUV, the Tata Curvv. It will rival the Hyundai Creta and other SUVs of the segment. The Curvv will be first launched in EV avatar and later it will get engine options like – petrol, diesel, CNG (speculated). Then we also have the Harrier EV and the petrol Harrier, along with Altroz Racer and Altroz facelift, coming in 2024. Whereas in 2025, we can see the Altroz EV, Sierra EV and next gen Tiago & Tigor.
